Projects That Leave a Legacy

Service Opportunities Deliver Change Where It Matters Most

What if your travels could change lives, create lasting impact, and build meaningful connections?

Welcome to Impact Adventure Tours, a service-based adventure travel organization that transforms trips into journeys of purpose and partnerships. At ITA, we are passionate about improving the lives and livelihoods of our neighbors in the heart of Mexico, Guatemala, and Colombia. We go to places few foreigners have ventured and meet the locals who tell the real story of a country and its culture.

Building Partnerships for Lasting Change

Our organization’s most significant success comes from our collaborations with trusted local nonprofits in the Central and South American countries we serve. We understand the importance of listening, so we design projects to meet the community’s needs.

Our trip coordination begins long before you get on the plane. We are proactively forging alliances and partnerships that support our work and the results we achieve, making our collective impact lasting and beneficial.

The markers of our adventures are about learning, connecting, and doing. We create a bridge between you, our valued travelers, and local communities. We foster relationships as impactful as the work itself. Once on the ground, our traveling team works with local leaders and community members, ensuring every project reflects their priorities and creates sustainable solutions.

Programs That Transform Communities

We have established five key projects that bring the most impact and improvement to the communities we serve.

Education: We build new and improve existing schools, provide materials, and support learning environments to empower communities to help themselves through invaluable education.

Water Projects: We work with local municipalities to install sustainable, life-giving, clean water systems that provide safe, accessible drinking water, improving health and quality of life.

Community Development: Through careful planning, we help build essential infrastructure, such as community centers and gathering spaces, to strengthen local bonds and opportunities.

Agriculture: We support sustainable farming practices and resources for underserved farmers, helping to promote food security and economic stability for this most basic and essential need.

Healthcare: We work with local doctors and nonprofit organizations to support medical clinics, deliver essential supplies, and provide health education to promote lasting wellness.

Impact That Works Both Ways

Focusing on these key projects has a two-way impact on service-based travel. These projects address the real needs of the communities, empowering local families and offering tangible tools for growth and progress that will impact generations to come. For you, the traveler, beyond contributing to life-changing work, you will immerse yourself in culture, build friendships, and gain a new perspective on the world.

In our experience, travelers return home with gratitude, humility, and a drive to do more. Dr. Robert Brugnone shared, “My experience in Guatemala was truly life-changing. The impact we made on the lives of these wonderful people is immense. The collaboration between organizations and the warm hospitality of the Guatemalan people was incredible.”
